The teaching tools that will be provided through SAEMP will allow the Somali community to develop the much-needed language skills (especially English) and life and other professional skills, to allow better integration with other communities. Furthermore, it will allow young learners to improve their academic achievement scores, as they can access math, science, language and other academic subject information via interactive television format. Higher academic scores mean greater chances for Somali young people and young people from all other communities. These in turn allow the gaining of skills and competences, that permit them to break into the better paying job market through accessing higher academic education and training opportunities.

SAEMP is a virtual teacher. Not only that, but the fact that, businesses can advertise, at little cost, to their Somali clientele and the wider Leicester society, means that Somali businesses, can attract clientele from across Leicester and internationally. Equally, other communities will have access to the Somali population in Leicester, which numbers between ten and fifteen thousand. This is an important market.

The SAEMP marketing strategy for Somali businesses, will assist them to become strong and sustainable, due to reaching a much wider customer base. The business success, besides contributing positively to the commercial expansion and increased revenue base for Leicester, will help reduce the number of unemployed Somali people as well as others who gain employment in the Somali businesses. Better business development will help improve the income streams for Somali families. These are but a few elements and capabilities of this awesome virtual tool

The Somali community will use SAEMP as a community news source and bill-board, where notices of all manner will be posted for people to know about what is happening within the community and within Leicester at large. Because of the information sharing capacity of SAEMP, it will allow the Somali community to join in activities put on by other communities and they too can invite and host individuals and groups from other communities and faith groups. This will be community cohesion at work.

Whether it be sporting activities or cultural activities, the SAEMP facility will allow all Leicester residents to access that information and make use of it. Young people will be able to know when sporting activities are taking place. As such, they will be able to attend and/or participate in the sporting activities, as part of community teams or as individuals. The activities will be organised to allow other members of society to participate as part of the community cohesion strategy of the Somali community, promoted via the LSECC and Leicester-wide community cohesion programming strategy.

The easy access of historical and cultural information that will be made available on SAEMP, will be enriching to all communities and will assist with efforts towards the reduction of prejudice towards ignorance about Somali people, as well as other newly arrived groups. This will be accomplished through better knowledge and understanding about other racial, social and faith groups. This is a critical goal of community cohesion.

Information on health, housing and other social issues that affect families will be broadcast for the Somali community but will be equally accessible to and will benefit other communities. This is practical community cohesion and community well being and empowerment in practice.

Towards this end, SEAMP will be entering into service agreements with providers like the LEA, HOUSING, SOCIAL CARE AND HEALTH, YOS, DART, Leicestershire Constabulary, faith groups, voluntary sector organisations and accredited academic institutions, that will provide, information, courses and/or advice, via SAEMP.

As such, SEAMP is poised to be a comprehensive and limitless community cohesion information, entertainment, education and training tool. The added benefit is that since SAEMP is web-based, it will link its audiences to all manner of information on the web. Farthom the depth, enjoy the experience, share the knowledge and information share SAEMP.
